Terms & Conditions

The terms on which we quote for and carry out electrical testing, inspection, certification and remedial works.

About these terms

These terms apply to work quoted for and carried out by Pyramid Services, 3 Eric St, South Elmsall, Pontefract WF9 2QD. Contact us on 0113 418 2086 or at repairs@pyramidleeds.co.uk.

Where we issue a written quotation for a specific job, that quotation and these terms together form the basis of the agreement between us.

Quotations and pricing

Quotations are free and carry no obligation. We do not publish headline prices, because every installation differs in size, age and access; we price against the scope we have established with you.

A quotation reflects the works described within it. Where additional works are identified once the installation is opened up or tested, we will explain what has been found and agree any change with you before proceeding.

Where a quotation is given without a site visit, it is based on the information supplied to us and may be revised if the premises differ materially from that description.

Booking, access and attendance

You are responsible for arranging safe and reasonable access to the premises and to the parts of the installation to be inspected, tested or worked on, including access to distribution boards, consumer units, loft spaces and any locked areas.

Where testing requires supplies to be interrupted, we will agree timings with you in advance and, on commercial and industrial sites, can phase works to suit your operating hours.

If we are unable to gain access at an agreed appointment, or the works cannot proceed for reasons outside our control, we may need to re-arrange attendance.

Testing, reporting and certification

Inspection and testing is carried out in accordance with the relevant standards and the scope agreed with you. A report records the condition of the installation at the time of inspection; it is not a guarantee of future condition or of parts of the installation that were inaccessible or outside the agreed scope.

Observations are coded by severity and explained in plain English, together with the recommended date of the next inspection.

Certification is issued on completion of the works to which it relates.

Remedial works

Where an inspection identifies observations requiring attention, our own engineers can carry out the remedial works and issue updated certification. We also carry out remedials arising from another contractor's report.

Remedial works are quoted separately from the inspection unless the quotation states otherwise.

Standards, accreditation and insurance

All of our electrical work is carried out to the highest of standards from initial contact to job completion, by fully qualified, time-served engineers.

Pyramid Services is NAPIT registered, CHAS accredited, SafeContractor approved and MCS registered, and holds City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing and the 18th Edition.

We are fully insured: details available on request.

Payment

We accept BACS and all major credit and debit cards. Invoices are payable in accordance with the terms stated on the invoice.

Where certification is dependent on works being completed and paid for, we will make that clear at the point of quotation.

Cancellation

If you need to cancel or re-arrange an appointment, please let us know as early as you reasonably can so the slot can be offered elsewhere.

Where you are a consumer and the contract was concluded away from our premises, your statutory cancellation rights are unaffected by these terms.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

We are not responsible for pre-existing defects in an installation that we have not been instructed to inspect or remedy, or for loss arising from a failure to act on the observations recorded in a report we have issued.

Website content

Information on this website is provided for general guidance about the services we offer. It is not a substitute for a site-specific inspection, quotation or professional advice on your installation.

Reviews reproduced on this website are genuine reviews left by our customers.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
