Yorkshire's ElectricalTesting Specialists

Certified installations, coded reports you can actually act on, and the remedial work completed by the same team that found it, so compliance stops being your problem.

The team

The people who
sign your certificate

The engineers in this photograph are the people who will attend your property. There are no subcontracted strangers arriving in an unmarked vehicle: the same small, time-served team carries out the inspection, writes up the observations and puts right anything that fails.

Harry McKeown leads every job from the front. He oversees the schedule, reviews the reports before they are issued and still attends site himself, which is why clients tend to deal with one name from first enquiry through to final certification.

Every engineer holds City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing and the 18th Edition, arrives in a marked van, works to NAPIT, CHAS and SafeContractor standards and leaves the premises as they found it. That combination is what lets us hold long-standing contracts with letting agents, facilities managers and industrial sites across Yorkshire.

Our story

Run by the person
who still turns up on site

Pyramid Services was established in 2009 by our current director, Harry McKeown, who oversees all operations and still personally conducts many site visits. We pride ourselves on taking the stress out of finding and arranging an electrician to perform safe and reliable electrical work at a fair price.

From the moment you contact us to the completion of your project, we have streamlined the process to ensure a smooth experience. All our engineers are fully qualified, time-served local professionals, so you can rest assured that your work is carried out to an exceptional standard.

Who we help

Landlords and letting agents who need certification in place before a tenancy starts. Homeowners buying or selling against a mortgage deadline. Office, retail and hospitality operators whose insurers and licensing conditions require evidence. And industrial sites running three-phase distribution, machinery and planned preventative maintenance, where an unplanned failure costs far more than the survey.

What we specialise in

We are, first and foremost, an electrical testing and inspection specialist. EICRs, fixed wire testing, PAT testing, emergency lighting, fire alarm testing and thermal imaging are what we do every day, rather than an add-on to installation work. Because we also carry out general electrical work, the remedial actions arising from a report are completed by the same team that found them, including remedials following another contractor's report.

Alongside testing we install and commission EV charge points, upgrade consumer units and distribution boards, trace faults systematically, and, as an MCS registered installer: design and install solar PV and battery storage.

Experience depth

Twenty years in the trade and a company operating since 2009, with 105 Google reviews at 4.9 out of 5. Our hard work and investment in training means Pyramid Services have developed long-standing relationships with their clients, which is why we are repeatedly selected to provide electrical services to a wide range of different businesses, including one commercial client whose offices we have converted entirely to LED lighting across several years of projects.

Where we work

We work from South Elmsall across Leeds, West Yorkshire and the North, Leeds, Harrogate, York, Wakefield, Doncaster, Manchester, Sheffield and Hull included. If your premises sit slightly outside those towns, ask: coverage is decided by travel time, not a line on a map.

Mission and standards

Compliance evidence
that stands up to scrutiny

Our mission is straightforward: make electrical compliance something you can hand over and stop worrying about: tested properly, reported clearly, corrected in-house and re-certified.

01

Independently assessed, not self-declared

Pyramid Services is NAPIT registered, CHAS accredited, SafeContractor approved and MCS registered. Our engineers hold City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing and the 18th Edition. We are fully insured: details available on request. You are welcome to verify each registration directly with the scheme before you instruct us.

02

Qualified, time-served local engineers

All of our engineers are fully qualified, time-served local professionals. Testing and inspection is our specialism rather than a sideline to installation work, which is why letting agents, facilities managers and business owners return to us rather than re-tendering each cycle.

03

Plain-English reporting you can act on

Every observation is coded by severity and explained in language a landlord, office manager or maintenance lead can act on. You will know what must be corrected, what should be improved, what needs further investigation, and when the installation is next due.

04

Transparent quoting, no headline prices

Quotes are free and carry no obligation. We price against the real scope after understanding the premises rather than advertising a figure that rarely survives the survey: the approach a homeowner described as the most competitive of three quotes, priced transparently. We accept BACS and all major credit and debit cards.

05

Work completed to the highest standard, without exception

Without exception, all of our electrical work is carried out to the highest of standards from initial contact to job completion. Our investment in training is why we have developed long-standing client relationships and are repeatedly selected to provide electrical services to a wide range of businesses.

Trust indicators

Proof, not
promises

Every figure below comes from our own record or from reviews left by our clients. We do not publish claims we cannot evidence.

  • 17 years

    In the trade

Two decades of hands-on electrical work behind every report we issue, and a company established in 2009.

  • 105

    Google reviews at 4.9★

Landlords, letting agents, homeowners, offices and industrial sites: the full record is public on Google.

  • Next day

    Attendance where deadlines demand it

Clients have documented next-day EICR attendance, arrival within the hour, and Sunday works completed at no additional charge to hit a mortgage completion.

  • In-house

    Remedial works and re-certification

Failures found on our reports, or another contractor's, are corrected by our own engineers, then re-certified.

Guarantees: quotes are free and carry no obligation; we are fully insured with details available on request; and where our inspection identifies C1, C2 or FI observations, our own engineers put them right and issue updated certification rather than handing you a list of faults and someone else's phone number.
